Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Review (2026): Is It Worth It for Families?
If you're looking for the short version, our family loved Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.
The beach is beautiful, the waterpark is outstanding, the rooms are comfortable, and there is enough to do that our kids never once said they were bored. We would absolutely stay here again, and in fact, we already booked another stay for spring break 2027.
That said, this is an expensive resort if you're paying cash, food prices are what you would expect at a luxury resort, and chair availability at the main pools can become challenging during busy periods.

Baha Mar Packing List: What We Brought, What Worked, and What We’d Do Again
If you’re planning a trip to Baha Mar in Nassau, you’ve probably already seen how stunning the resort is: the most beautiful turquoise water, super fun pools, and a water park that kids (and adults) never seem to want to leave.
We usually travel as a carry-on-only family, but for this trip, checking a bag made life significantly easier (and the trip less costly…seriously…even with the checked bag fee). Between pool days, water park adventures, and restaurant dinners, having a bit more space for “extras” was absolutely worth it.
Below is our real-life packing list: what we brought, what we used constantly, and a few things we were very glad we didn’t forget.

If you are looking for a Carribean vacation that is easy, has activities for everyone in the family, but also lots of opportunities to relax, Baha Mar might just be it! For us it was the perfect blend of fun, play, adventure and R&R.
Easy nonstop flight (under 2 hours for us)
Stunning beaches and one of the best resort waterparks we’ve experienced
Plenty of food options (with ways to save if you’re strategic)
Great for families with kids of all ages
We made this trip happen using points and miles
This ended up being one of our favorite family vacations ever…the kind where no one wanted to leave.
